Oil Lines. Rigid tubing, flexible hose, and
fittings are used throughout the oil system, for the
purpose indicated by their nomenclature to connect a
component into a system, or to connect one component
to another to complete a system.
Removal. All tubing, hose, and fittings
are removed and installed similarly. Any peculiarity of
removal or installation procedures will be determined by
the physical construction and the manner in which the
part is used. The following are general procedures for
removing oil lines.
During removal, rotate coupling nut
of tubing or hose with one wrench while holding fitting to
which it is secured with another wrench. This procedure
prevents twisting of the tubing or hose.
