(8) CMWS Control Indicator. The CI provides the operator with an interface to the CMWS/ICMD. Once
the CMWS/ICMD equipment settings are initialized, the system is powered-on via the CI PWR switch. The CI
displays system status information, ICMD inventory information, and the system s software version number. The
CI controls the selection of CMWS functions (operate or test) and displays the CMWS status. The CI is located in
the lower-left area of the control pedestal. Figure/Table below show and list the purpose and use of each switch,
control, and display. The CI fault and message display is a 2 row x 4 column alphanumeric readout.

Illuminates when lares are dispensed. Remains lit until threat
track expires.

LAMP knob
Controls the brightness of the display and backlighting.

R (Ready) Indicator
This indicator will not light if any of the safety mechanisms are
engaged/inserted. The indicator is blanked when BIT is running.

Four quadrants. Light up to indicate the quadrant where a threat

is detected. The arrows can be lit in any of three states: off,
dimmed, and bright. During normal operation when no threat
is detected, all arrows are dimmed. When a threat is detected,
all arrows light up in the quadrant the threat is declared in, and
lashes between bright and off. The indicators are blanked when
BIT is running.

Three-position rotary switch that controls power to the
PWR (Power) switch
CMWS/ICMD, and allows operator to access the Startup BIT
(SBIT). The OFF and ON positions are latched positions. The
TEST position is a momentary position.
