OIL FILTER/
1. Element
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to
clean parts is potentially dangerous
to personnel and property. Avoid
repeated and prolonged skin contact.
Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing
of vapors. Do not use near open flame
or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent
is 100°F -138°F (38°C-59°C).
Solvent (item 1, Appendix D).
Thoroughly clean oil filter cavity of all residual
oil and/or sludge prior to the installation of a
cleaned or new filter element. If metal particles
are present, remove and examine magnetic
plugs in gear case.
Agitate filter element in
solvent until clean.
Air dry filter element.
