Power Turbine Governor Check. If the power
turbine governor has been replaced or its operation is
suspect proceed as follows (see figure).
WARNING
Adjustment screws (6) and (7) are the only
screws permitted to be adjusted.
(1)
Minimum Governing Speed:
(a)
Remove propeller overspeed
governor and re- place with a blanking plate.
(b)
Disconnect and secure reversing
linkage from power turbine governor arm if applicable.
(c)
Move governor control arm (5)
counterclockwise to minimum speed and secure in this
position.
(d)
Perform pre- start check
(subparagraph 2).
(e)
Accomplish satisfactory engine
start (sub- paragraph 3).
(f)
Warm engine to operating
temperature, and allow engine instruments to stabilize.
