8. ADAPTER TOOL ACCESSORIES. To hold adapter
tool and to keep the connector from turning when
installing or removing backshells or accessories the
use of a  1/4 inch drive T-handle is recommended. A strap
wrench is used on backshell for installation and removal
to apply even pressure without causing damage to
accessories (Figure 2).
9. CABLE CLAMPS/STRAIN RELIEFS. The following
two paragraphs explain the two types of cable support
or clamping devices.
10. Cable Clamps. A cable clamp is a support or
clamping device which requires use of an intermediate
component for attachment to back of connector.
Illustrated are the following cable clamps and strain
reliefs: MS27291 (Figure 3), MS27558 (Figure 4),
MS27559 (Figure 5), and MS27657 (Figure 6). The
MS27658 (Figure 7) and MS27659 (Figure 8) are
provided for reference only, as they have been cancelled

11. Strain Reliefs. A Strain relief is a support or clamping
device which attaches directly to connector (Figures 3
through 8).
