2. Spray Tip
Visually inspect for dam-
aged mirror finish or edge
of spray tip. Replace dam-
aged nozzles.
Visually inspect for carbon
lodged in the spray tip.
Flow fuel through nozzle
and replace if carbon can-
not be flushed ou

Lockwire (item 17, Appendix D)
NOTE
Do not lubricate the fuel nozzle
threads.
Lockwire (item 17, Appendix D)
Carefully install nozzle in
outer combustion case and
tighten to 200-300 in. lb
(2.9-3.5 kg/m). Lockwire
the nozzle to the spark ig-
niter
.
Connect fuel hose to
nozzle. Hold fuel hose to
prevent twisting and tight-
en the coupling nut to
80-120 in. lb (0.9- 1.4
kg/m).
