3-1-1 REMOVAL
CAUTION
Do not attempt to pry liner loose with tools.
Using light hand pressure only, withdraw liner (1)
from gas generator case (2).
3-1-2 INSPECTION
1. General
Inspect combustion chamber liner for cracks,
buckling and/or burning. Cracks in liner surfaces are
usually of stress-relieving nature and as such, are not
serious in that rate of growth decreases as crack lengthens.
Heat stresses, in effect, relieve original stress conditions.
It is considered normal to observe a given type of
deterioration repeated from liner to liner in the same
engine or engines of same model. Typical liner distress
consists of buckling at the inner wall adjacent to the dome.
