1.
Inspect fuel drain valve (1). There shall be
no cracks. Inspect for cracks using the fluo-
rescent penetrant inspection method. For lat-
est inspection procedures, refer to TM
1–1520–253–23, Technical Manual Aviation
Unit Maintenance (AVUM) and Aviation Inter-
mediate Maintenance (AVIM) Manual Non-
destructive Inspection Procedure for the CH/
MH–47 Helicopter Series.
2.
Inspect plate (2).
a.
Depress plate (2) and release.
b.
Plate (2) shall not stick or bind.
c.
Plate (2) shall reseat against pins (3).
3.
Inspect pins (3).
a.
Pins (3) shall not be loose.
b.
Pins (3) shall not extend past valve body
outside diameter (4).
FOLLOW–ON MAINTENANCE:
Install Torquemeter Junction Box (Task 9–3)
