4-9. GENERAL.
This section contains procedures to be performed in conjunction with the procedures in the UUT test
program for the day sensor subassembly. When the UUT test program directs you to perform a
procedure in this manual, locate the referenced paragraph(s) in this section and perform the actions
indicated.
4-10. DAY SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY INSTALLATION ON DAYSIDE TEST BENCH.
This paragraph covers the steps required to install the insert/adapter on the day sensor subassembly
and install them both on the dayside test bench.
a. Day Sensor Subassembly Removal from Shipping and Storage Container.
WARNING
HEAVY OBJECTS
Excessive strain can cause serious injury.
Don't: Attempt to lift or carry heavy objects alone.
Do: Get help for lifting or carrying heavy loads.
If you experience a sudden pain while lifting or discomfort after lifting, get
medical help at once.
CAUTION
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Optics are exposed during this task and must be protected from contamination.
Careless handling of day sensor subassembly could result in contaminated
optic assemblies.
Careless handling of support equipment can also damage optic assemblies.
Never touch optic surfaces with bare hands.
Never attempt to lift or move day sensor subassembly using optic assemblies
for support.
Any force or pressure on optic assemblies could cause damage or
misalinement.
