1.
Wash all metal parts in a hot, mild commercially available soap and water solution. Dry parts with clean rag.
2.
Inspect ring (1), valve body (6), washer (8), cycling valve stem (11) and button (4) to determine if chipped or burred.
Ensure threads on setscrew (13) and in button (4) and cycling valve stem (11) are not stripped.
3.
Inspect spring (7) to determine if broken or collapsed.
4.
Inspect cover (3) to determine if cut or deteriorated.
