1. Determine how much of shaft (1) should pro-
trude from fourth stage power turbine rotor
after fourth turbine rotor is installed.
a. Measure from end (2) of shaft (1) to aft face
of faceplate (3). Record as Dimension A.
b. Place fourth stage power turbine rotor (4)
with hub on locating bar (T1) (5). Measure
from aft face of hub (6) to locating bar (T1)
(5). Record as Dimension B.
c. If ring spacer (7) was not removed, subtract
Dimension B from Dimension A. The answer
is how much of shaft should protrude from
fourth stage power turbine rotor. Record for
later use.
NOTE
If ring spacer was not removed, go to
step 3.
d. If ring spacer (7) was removed (Ref. Task
4-33), measure thickness of it. Record as
Dimension C.
