m. Install suitable size polyethylene plugs in the
manual drain valve ports in the fuel tank assembly (1).

n. Disconnect the inlet hose from the gasoline engine
fuel pump on the hydraulic start unit (figure 1-8) and
drain all gasoline from the fuel tank on the unit.
o. Purge the gasoline tank in the hydraulic start
system, then reconnect the inlet hose to the fuel pump
on the gasoline engine.

observe this warning may result In
extreme skin irritation and adverse
effect on health.
p. Open the fill cap, vent, and strainer (15, figure 1-
12) on the lubricating oil unit (6) of the test trailer oil
system.
q. Connect the oil supply hose from an engine
accessories kit to the OIL SUPPLY quick-disconnect on
the test trailer. Insert the open end of the oil supply
hose into a container of suitable capacity.
r. Energize the OIL PUMP circuit breaker CB3 (14,
figure 2-9).
s. Energize the OIL PUMP START switch (15, figure
1-26) and allow the test trailer oil system to drain the
tank of the lubricating oil unit (6, figure 1-12) into the
container. Depress the OIL PUMP STOP switch (23,
figure 1-26) when the tank is approximately two-thirds
empty.
t. Deenergize the OIL PUMP circuit breaker CB3 (14,
figure 2-9).
u. Disconnect the oil supply hose, remove the
container, and install the fill cap, vent, and strainer (15,
figure 1-12).
v. Remove the cap (34, figure 7-9) from the OIL OUT
bulkhead union (32) on the portable oil unit.
w. Attach a drain hose of suitable length at the OIL
OUT bulkhead union and place the free end of the hose
in a suitable container.
x. Energize the LUBE PUMP circuit breaker CB6 (2,
figure 2-9).
y. Energize the LUBE PUMP START switch (13,
figure 1-26) and drain the oil from the portable oil unit,
using system power. When all but approximately two
gallons of the oil is drained from the unit, depress the
LUBE PUMP STOP switch (25) to stop the pump.
z. Detach the Hose from the OIL OUT bulkhead unit
(32, figure 7-9), install the cap (34), and remove the
container of oil.
aa. Deenergize the LUBE PUMP circuit breaker CB6
(2, figure 2-9).
ab. Detach the water supply hose from the water
brake water supply port (13, figure 1-16) on the test
trailer. (The water may be drained by gravity flow or by
use of the water brake supply pump.)
ac. If it is desired to pump the tanks completely
empty, energize the BRAKE PUMP START switch (8,
figure 1-26) and the COOLING PUMP START switch (9)
to allow the system pumps to exhaust the water from the
auxiliary trailer water system.
ad. When the flow of water has ceased, depress the
BRAKE PUMP STOP switch (30) and the COOLING
PUMP STOP switch (29).
ae. Remove the plug upstream from the temperature
regulating valve and probe (9, figure 1-12) and allow the
entrapped water to drain from the system, then install
the plug and tighten securely.
af. Remove the plug in the heat exchanger (13) and
allow the entrapped water to drain from the system, then
install the plug and tighten securely.
ag. Remove the plug in the strainer (2, figure 1-16)
and allow the entrapped water to drain from the system,
then install the plug and tighten securely.
ah. Open the valve (15) and remove the dust cap
(12). Allow the entrapped water to drain from the
system, then install the dust cap.
ai. Detach the water supply hose from the water
brake water supply port (1, figure 1-34) on the auxiliary
trailer.
