1. STATUS page.
a. Check for:
(1) Correct database.
(2) Correct time and date.
(3) Current database.
NOTE
During initialization, always use prompts ad-
jacent to R6 line select key to proceed.
b. Press POS INIT at R6 line select key.

NOTE
Never leave a page with unilled data ields.
a. If airport identiier is not shown on
AIRPORT line, type it into scratchpad and
paste it at AIRPORT line adjacent to L2
line select key.
b. Press SET POS TO GPS at R4 line select
key and release. Check that Lat/Long
from R4 appears in SET POS data ields
adjacent to R5 line select key. If not, press
R4 line select key again and Lat/Long data
ields adjacent to R5 should populate.
c. Press FLPN at R6 line select key.
3. ACT FLPN page.
a. Enter departure airport under ORIGIN at
L1 line select key.
