9-13. Landing Emergencies.
a. Landing Gear System Failure. Should one or
more of the landing gear fail to extend, or fail to indicate
a safe condition, the following steps should be taken
before proceeding manually to extend the gear.
WARNING
The heater must be shut down prior
to all emergency landings to
minimize fire hazards.
