2-34. Installation of Fuel Control Slave Units.
Install the slave units and connect to fuel control
actuator linkage as shown on figure 2-27. Adjustment of
fuel control actuator linkage is contained in paragraph 2-
11.
2-35. Test Trailer Hose and Cable Connections.
Proceed as follows:
a.
Connect one end of hose assembly (1, figure 2-
33) to water brake aft bearing fitting and connect
opposite end to portable oil unit OIL OUT port.
b.
Connect one end of hose assembly (2) to water
brake air vent fitting; install reducer (3), packing (4), and
coupler (5) in opposite end, and connect to AIR
SUPPLY coupling on test trailer.
c.
Connect one end of hose assembly (6) to fuel
inlet fitting; install reducer (7), packing (8), and coupler
(9) in opposite end, and connect to FUEL SUPPLY
coupling on test trailer.
d.
Connect one end of hose assembly (10) to
gearbox vent fitting. Position opposite end in suitable
overboard container.
e.
Connect engine starter drain hose (11), from
hydraulic starter unit on test trailer, to case drain fitting.
f.
Connect engine starter oil return hose (12), from
hydraulic starter unit on test trailer, to oil return fitting.
g.
Connect engine starter oil supply hose (13), from
hydraulic starter unit on test trailer, to oil supply fitting.
h.
Connect one end of hose assembly (14) to water
brake oil return fitting; install reducer (16) and tube
assembly (15) in opposite end, and connect to OIL
RETURN fitting on portable oil unit on test trailer.
i.
Connect oil collector drain hose (17) to drain
bottle assembly (18).
j.
Connect hose assembly (19) between water
brake water return coupling and auxiliary trailer water
return connection.
k.
Connect hose assembly (20) between water
brake water supply coupling and WATER SUPPLY
coupling on test trailer.

Connect one end of hose assembly (21) to
WATER OUT fitting on portable oil unit, install reducer
(22), packing (23), and coupler (24) in opposite end, and
connect to WATER RETURN coupling on test trailer.
m. Connect one end of hose assembly (25) to
WATER IN fitting on portable oil unit, install reducer
(26), packing (27), and coupler (28) in opposite end, and
connect to WATER SUPPLY coupling on test trailer.
n.
Connect cable assemblies from test trailer to
data acquisition assembly as follows:
1.
Connect W1 to J1
2.
Connect W2 to J2
3.
Connect W3 to J3
4.
Connect W4 to J4
5.
Connect W5 to J5
6.
Connect W6 to J6
2-36. Hydraulic Starter Hose Connections.
Connect hydraulic starter hoses (11, 12 and 13) to
the starter in accordance with detail B, figure 2-33.
2-36.1 Test Engine.
Test the engine in accordance with procedures
specified in Chapter 3.
2-37. Removal of Engine and Engine Test Dolly.
Proceed as follows:

When removing engine accessories,
reinstall all engine plugs and dust
covers.
