NOTE
It is permissible and advisable to reswage fittings in order to comply with dimensions of table 4-37
providing that the correct upper and lower die block assemblies are employed
(c) Rotate gauge between flash marks. Gauge must fit over all swaged segments between flash
marks.
NOTE
Gauge shoulder must contact end of fitting and end of gauge must fall within tube insertion mark on tubing
(d) If fitting does not meet requirements of inspection gauge, corrective action shall be taken as indicated in table 4-

(2) Inspection without gauge. in the absence of proper inspection gauge, the swaged fitting shall meet the dimensional
requirements of table 4-39 and figure 4-86
NOTE
The outside diameter (A Dimension in table 4-39) must be measured in the area between the longitudinal
ridges (flash marks) produced by the swaging action of the die segments.
