After flight when the pilot records any faults and/or remarks on DA
Form
the pilot's signature certifies that the preflight,
thru-flight, and post-flight inspections have been properly
completed.
2-15. Acceptance Inspection.
The gaining unit or activity
The inspection is performed
before receipt of or as soon as possible after the aircraft arrives
on station from the manufacturer, overhaul facility, or other
unit/activity.
The inspection will include a thorough technical
inspection of the aircraft, systems, and associated equipment.
Access plates, panels, and screens will be removed, as necessary, to
accomplish this inspection.
The aircraft publication file, forms and
records, and an inventory check (DA Form 2408-17) of property
assigned to the aircraft are part of the acceptance inspection.
When
conditions warrant, a deficiency report will be submitted per DA
Pamphlet 738-751.
Inspection of Aircraft in Storage.
Aircraft in storage will
be inspected per the requirements listed in the applicable aircraft
Transfer Inspection.
The transfer inspection is performed by
the organization that is losing the aircraft per the instruction in
Section XII, (Standards of Serviceability) of this TM. The
transferring organization will furnish proof that all equipment
identified on the master inventory list is accounted for and
forms and records are complete and accurate per DA Pamphlet 738-751.
