NOTES
A
Observe engine for abnormal conditions such as vibration, noise, or leakage. Light
oil vapor or spewing may occur at the diffuser vent orifice when a new compressor
has been installed. Leakage should cease after high power transients have permitted
seal to wear in.

Note
Ref
Make idle speed and start derichment adjustments if required. (Refer to paragraph 6-5,
6-12.) Adjust oil pressure regulator if required, (Refer to paragraph 8-6. )
If the engine is being tested in the airframe, limit collective to just short of lift-off.
Check operation of the anti-icing valve.
.
Give the engine a thorough visual inspection after shutdown. Repeat the check run
. .
if any repairs are necessary as a result of the run or the inspection.
The check run is complete after setting No. 6 unless a new compressor has been in-
stalled. To obtain seal wear-in on the new compressor, continue to the completion
of the listed check run settings.
If the engine is being tested in the airframe, make a test flight IAW TM 55-1500-328-25
and observe published operating limits.
Check the diffuser vent orifice. Repeat settings 7 through 10 until the proper orifice
size is determined. (Refer to paragraph 2-18. )
