2-42. Installation of Engine Test Dolly.
Proceed as follows:
a. Remove the engine test dolly drawbar and attach the dolly lifting sling between the test trailer crane and the
four dolly lifting rings. (Refer to paragraph 2-13 for operation instructions for the crane assembly.)
b. Raise the dolly and position the assembly so that the dolly axles are centered over the test trailer axle latches.
c. Lower the dolly assembly and guide the dolly axles into the latch arm guides.
d. Place the latch arms (20, figure 1-3) over the dolly axles and tighten the swing eye bolt handles (21).
e. Remove the dolly lifting sling and secure the test trailer crane.
2-43. Installation and Connection of Water Brake Hose Assembly.
a. Connect one end of hose assembly (2, figure 2-39) to water brake assembly water-out coupler. Connect
opposite end of hose assembly to the test trailer water return coupler.
b. Connect hose assembly (5) to water brake assembly water-in ports. Connect opposite end of hose assembly to
the test trailer water supply coupler.
c. Install coupler (9) on water brake bearing water supply hose assembly (8) and connect the hose assembly to the
test trailer water supply fitting.
d. Install reducer (7) in tee (4). Connect hose assembly (8) to reducer.
e. Connect tee (4), nuts (3), and reducers (6) between ends of hose assemblies (1).
f. Connect hose assemblies (1) from reducers in tee to water brake assembly forward and rear bearing water-in
adapters.
g. Connect hose assembly (10) to elbow in water brake water supply port. Connect opposite end to data
acquisition assembly.
h. Connect hose assembly (11) to elbow in water brake water return port. Connect opposite end to data
acquisition assembly.
2-44. Installation of Fuel Control Slave Units. Install the fuel control slave units and connect to fuel control actuator
linkage as shown on figure 2-35. Adjustment of fuel control actuator linkage is contained in paragraph 2-11. Connect
governor linkage as shown in figure 2-35.
