TM 55-4920-328-13
(8)
If indicator reading is 5, 000 ±
25 inch-
pounds, no adjustment is necessary. Proceed to step
(11).
(9)
If indicator reading is less than 5, 000 + 11
through 25 inch-pounds, adjust TORQ SPAN on panel
1A2 for a reading 5, 000 25 inch-pounds. Proceed to
step (11).
(10) If indicator reading exceeds 5, 000 25
inch-pounds, make the following adjustments:
(a)
Remove weights.
(b)
Electrically zero torque indicator on
panel 1A1.
(c)
Reinstall weights one at a time.
(d)
Correct error by adjusting TORQ
SPAN control on panel 1A2, to read 5, 000 25 inch-
pounds.
(e)
Remove weights from weight
platform (figure 2-63).
(f)
Repeat steps (4) through (7), and do
steps (11) through (14).
(g)
When all weights are removed
from
the
weight
platform,
note
reading
on
TORQUE/PRESSURE indicator on panel 1A1. This
reading must read 00000 25 inch-pounds or torque
element is defective. If necessary, remove and
replace torque element as directed in Chapter 6.
Repeat step (d).
(11) Remove first 50-pound weight from weight
platform.
Note
indicator
reading
on
TORQUE/PRESSURE meter on panel 1A1 (150 lb x 25
in. = 3, 750 25 inch-pounds).
(12) Remove. second. 50-pound weight from
weight. platform. Note indicator reading (100 lb x 25
in. = 2, 500 25 inch-pounds).
(13) Remove third 50-pound weight from weight
platform. Note indicator read ing (50 lb x 25 in. = 1,
250 25 inch-pounds).
(14) Remove fourth 50-pound weight from
weight platform.
(15)
If necessary, adjust TORQ SPAN on panel
1A2 for a reading of 00000 + 25 inch-pounds on
TORQUE/PRESSURE indicator on panel 1A1.
(16) Place weights used in steps (4) through (7)
one at a time on weight platform. Record the reading
on TORQUE/PRESSURE indicator on panel 1A1 for
each weight. Verify that the final torque reading is 5,
000 + 25 inch-pounds.
(17) Remove
the
weights.
The
TORQUE/PRESSURE indicator on panel 1A1 should
read 00000 25 inch-pounds.
(18) If the indicator is not within 25 inch-
pounds, check water brake torque system water brake
and torque element cables. and hoses for drag
and/or binding. If no drag or binding is found, repeat
steps (4) through (14) as necessary to ensure that tare
weight is balanced out.
(19) Remove two bolts from calibration arm.
(20) Remove calibration arm. Adjust oil
pressure indicator (55, figure 1-21) to read zero plus or
minus two.
2-70.
