PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS) PROCEDURES
Table 1 lists the checks and services required to keep your AAFARS in good operating condition. They are listed in
chronological order and should be performed in this order so they become a habit. An explanation of each column is
provided below.
a.
The "Item No." column provides the sequential identification number for each task.
b.
The "Interval" column tells you when to do a certain check or service.
c.
The "Location - Item to Check/Service" column tells you on which item the procedure is performed.
d.
The "Procedure" column tells you how to do the required checks and services. Carefully follow these
instructions. If you do not have the required tools, or if the procedure tells you to, notify your supervisor.
e.
The "Not Fully Mission Capable If" column tells you the conditions under which your AAFARS is not
capable of performing its intended mission.
