If no visual damage is apparent, engine may
be operationally checked either in airframe
or in mobile engine test unit. (Refer to
paragraphs 1-63 thru 1-71.) Minimum test
time is 30 minutes and shall include vibration
check, coastdown noise check, and post-test
inspection of oil filter and chip detectors
for metal, lint, or other foreign material.
Vibration levels must be within established
limits. If no defects are noted, engine is
considered serviceable.
Inspect for cracked
flanges.
Inspect for cracks, dis-
tortion, and bent
shafts.
Inspect for damage.
Inspect for cracked
flanges.
Inspect for cracks.
Check to insure they
are secure.
Check for loose bolts,
nuts, and connections.
