cable assembly to the mating connector on the air
pressure and governor tube on the engine.
c. Connect P1 of cable assembly (6) to J16 on
the data acquisition assembly. Connect plugs No. 5,
No. 6 and No. 7 to the three inlet housing
thermocouples (36, figure 2-43) installed on the brackets
attached to the engine fire seal mounting ring.
NOTE
The cable assembly connected to the
torque element cable assembly in the
following step is used for signal
polarity reversal during calibration
only and must be removed prior to
engine test.
d. Attach the cable assembly (11, figure 2-44) to
the mating connector on the torque element cable
assembly (7). Connect the other end of the cable
assembly to J12 on the data acquisition assembly.
e. Connect P1 of cable assembly (8) to J9 on the
data acquisition assembly. Connect P2 CHAN 1 to the
mating connector on the vibration transducer.
f. Connect P1 of cable assembly (9) to J8 on the
data acquisition assembly. Connect jack No. 1 to the
water brake in thermocouple. Connect jack No. 2 to the
water brake water out thermocouple. Connect jack No.
3 to the water brake No. 1 (aft) bearing thermocouple
located at the 5 o'clock position. Connect jack No. 4 to
the water brake No. 2 (forward) bearing thermocouple
located at the 6 o'clock position.
g. Connect P1 of cable assembly (10) to J7 on
the data acquisition assembly. Connect P2 to the NIl
tachometer generator, if installed. Connect P3 to the NI
tachometer generator. Connect P4 to the upper mating
connector on the igniter. Connect P5 to the mating
connector on the oil temperature bulb, and connect P6
to the chip detector.
h. Position the test dolly on the test trailer as
specified
in
paragraph
2-51
and
complete
the
interconnection of the cable assemblies and hose
assemblies.
2-51. Interconnection of Engine and Test Trailer.
Interconnect the electrical systems, fuel, oil, water, and
air systems as follows:
a. Attach the LTCT21948-01 lifting sling to the
'lifting eye on the dolly mount ring and to the two rings
on the forward end of the test dolly frame. Connect the
hook of the test trailer crane on the lifting sling. (Refer
to paragraph 2-13 for crane assembly operating
instructions. )
b. Carefully lift the engine and test dolly into
place on the test trailer, then secure the latch arms (20,
figure 1-3) over the test dolly axles.
c. Release the tension from the lifting sling,
remove the sling, and secure the hook of the test trailer
crane.
