TM 55-4920-328-13
r. Install the coupler (28) on the hose assembly
(29), then connect the coupler to the water brake
bearing oil supply valved nipple (30). Connect the other
end of the hose assembly to the OIL OUT bulkhead
union on the portable lube unit (31).
s. Install the coupler (32) on the hose assembly
(33), then connect the coupler to the water brake
bearing oil return valved nipple (34). Install the reducer
(35) in the free end of the hose assembly and connect
the tube assembly (36) to the reducer. Connect the
other end of the tube assembly to the OIL RETURN
bulkhead union on the portable oil unit.
t. Assemble the hose assembly (37), reducer
(38), packing (39), and coupler (40). Attach the free end
of the hose assembly to the WATER IN bulkhead union
on the portable lube unit (31). Attach the coupler to the
water supply quick-disconnect coupling (41) on the test
trailer.
u. Assembly the hose assembly (42), reducer
(43), packing (44), and coupler (45). Attach the free end
of hose assembly to the WATER OUT bulkhead union
on the portable oil unit (31). Attach the coupler to the
water return quick-disconnect coupling (46) on the test
trailer.
v. Install the coupler (47) on the hydraulic Supply
hose assembly (48), then connect the coupler to the
valved nipple installed in the IN port of the hydraulic
starter (49). Install the coupler (50) in the other end of
the hose assembly and connect the coupler to the
SUPPLY port on the hydraulic start unit (51).
w. Install the coupler (52) on the hydraulic return
hose assembly (53), then connect the coupler to the
male tip installed in the OUT port of the hydraulic starter
(49). Install the coupler (54) in the other end of the hose
assembly and connect the coupler to the RETURN port
on the hydraulic start unit (51).
x. Install the coupler (55) in the hydraulic starter
drain hose assembly (56), then connect the coupler to
the male tip in the connecting parts installed in the case
drain port of the hydraulic starter (49). Install the
coupler (57) in the free end of the hose assembly and
attach the coupler to the DRAIN port on the hydraulic
start unit (51).
y. Connect the coupler (58) (installed in the water
brake air supply hose assembly) to the AIR SUPPLY
quick-disconnect fitting (59) on the test trailer.
z. Connect the coupler (60) (installed in the fuel
supply hose assembly) to the FUEL SUPPLY quick-
disconnect fitting (61) on the test trailer.
aa, Connect one ground cable assembly (62)
(provided with the test trailer) to the ground stud (63) on
the test trailer. Connect the other end of the ground
cable assembly to one of the ground studs (64) on the
mount stand assembly (2).
ab. Connect the second ground cable assembly
(65) to the second ground stud (66) on the mount stand
assembly (2). Connect the other end of the ground
cable assembly to the engine.
ac. Install a nipple (67) in each end of the oil
level indicator assembly (68), then attach the oil level
indicator assembly to the structure of the mount stand
assembly (2), using four washers (69) and four bolts
(70). Attach the hose assembly (71) to the upper nipple
and attach the other hose assembly (72) to the lower
nipple.
ad. Connect the test trailer electrical system
cable assemblies to the connectors on the data
acquisition assembly (73) as shown in view G and as
follows:
(1) Connect cable assembly W1 to J1.
(2) Connect cable assembly W2 to J2.
(3) Connect cable assembly W3 to J3.
(4) Connect cable assembly W4 to J4.
(5) Connect cable assembly W5 to J5.
(6) Connect cable assembly W6 to J6.
ae. Install the Nil slave unit (74) on the bracket
(75), using three bolts (76), three washers (77), and
three nuts (78).
af. Rotate the engine fuel control shaft
counterclockwise to the limit of travel.
ag, Loosen the nut (79) sufficiently to allow the
linkage arm assembly (80) to rotate, then move the arm
to a point midway between the 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock
positions. Tighten the nut and reinstall the cotter pin
(81). Bend the legs of the cotter pin to secure the
installation.
ah. Rotate the arm of the Nil slave unit (74)
clockwise approximately 60 degrees from the vertical
position. Check to ensure that the Nil master control
unit in the control cab is in the fully retracted position. If
the Nil master control unit is not in the specified
position, adjust the hydraulic loop as specified in chapter
6 of this technical manual.
