ay. Mount the torque limit rotary actuator (162) on
the bracket (158), using four bolts (163), four washers
(164), and four nuts (165).
az. Slide the linkage locking washer (166) over
the free power turbine lever shaft (167).
ba. Thread the cable locking nut (168) on the
shaft (167). Manually turn the nut to observe
eccentricity. Reposition the nut as required to remove
all shaft eccentricity, then install the cotter pin (169).
Ensure that the cotter pin engages the inboard hole in
the free power turbine lever shaft, then bend the legs of
the Cotter pin to secure the installation.
bb. Slide the forward drive end of the flex shaft
(170) on the mating shaft of the torque limit rotary
actuator (162), then slide the other end of the flex shaft
on the mating shaft end of the cable locking nut (168).
Tighten the setscrew In each end of the flex shaft to
secure the installation.
bc. Install the elbow (171) in the overboard
breather port as shown in view N, then connect the hose
assembly (172) to the elbow.
bd. Assemble and connect the following parts:
(1) Assemble the reducer (174) and cross
(173), then install the nut (175) on the reducer.
(2) Connect the hose assembly (176) to the
reducer (174) and tighten the nut (175).
(3) Install the reducer (177) on the cross
(173), then install the nut (178), reducer (179), and nut
(180).
(4) Connect the hose assembly (181) on the
reducer (179) and tighten the nut (180).
(5) Install the reducer (182) on the cross
(173), then Install the nut (183), reducer (184), and nut
(185).
(6) Connect the hose assembly (186) to the
reducer (184) and tighten the nut (185).
(7) Connect the hose assembly (187) to the
open leg of the cross (173) and install the coupler (188)
on the other end of the hose assembly.
be. Assemble the elbow (189) and coupler (190)
as shown In view P. Attach the coupler to the aft
bearing connection on the water brake assembly (193),
then connect the hose assembly (176) to the elbow.
bf. Install the coupler (191) In the free end of the
hose assembly (181), then attach the coupler to the
water brake seal water connection at the 10 o'clock
position.
bg. Install the coupler (192) in the free end of the
hose assembly (188), then attach the coupler to the
water brake seal water connection at the 4 o'clock
position.
bh. Assemble the following parts as shown in
view P:
(1) Assemble the tee (194), two reducers
(195), and two nuts (196).
(2) Connect a hose assembly (197) to each
reducer (195), then tighten both nuts (196).
(3) Attach one hose assembly (197) to each
of the air supply fittings on the water brake assembly
(193).
(4) Connect the hose assembly (198) in the
side leg of the tee (194), then install the reducer (199),
packing (200), and coupler (201).
bi. Install the coupler (203) in the hose assembly
(202), then attach the coupler to the oil supply
connection on the water brake assembly at the 12
o'clock position.
bi. Install the coupler (205) in the hose assembly
(204), then attach the coupler to the oil return
connection at the 6 o'clock position.
bk. Connect the hose assembly (206) to the water
pressure fitting on the lower side of the water brake
assembly. (See view P. ) Attach the valved nipple
(207) to the other end of the hose assembly, then install
the valved nipple on the M2 H20 quick-disconnect fitting
on the data acquisition assembly (17) as shown in view
A.
bl. Attach the valved nipple (209) to the hose
assembly (208), then install the valved nipple on the M1
h20 quick-disconnect fitting in the data acquisition
assembly (17), (See view A. ) (The free end of the hose
assembly will be connected in a subsequent procedure.
bm. Install the bracket assembly (210) on the
lower flange of the component drive gearbox at the 7
o'clock position, using the nut (211) as shown in view R.
Attach the vibration pickup (212) to the bracket
assembly, using four washers (213) and four screws
(214). Connect P7 CHAN 6 connector of cable
assembly (215) to the electrical connector on the
vibration pickup.
bn. Connect P1 of cable assembly (215) to J9 on
the data acquisition assembly (17) as shown in view X.
