(17). Connect P2 to the electrical connector
on the turbine exhaust (individual) temperature sensing
connection located at the 8 o'clock position on the
combustor housing. (See view AD. ) Connect P3 to the
electrical connector on the turbine exhaust (average)
temperature sensing connection located immediately
above.
cd. Tape all unused electrical leads to the
appropriate
wire
bundle
to
prevent
damage.
Temporarily tape all unconnected hose assemblies to
the engine or mount stand assembly (161) to prevent
damage during transport and handling during installation
of the test dolly on the test trailer.
ce. Install the test dolly, mount stand assembly,
and engine on the test trailer as outlined in paragraph 2-
59.
2-59. Installation of T73 Engine on Test Trailer.
Install the engine, mount stand assembly, and engine
test dolly assembly on the test trailer deck as shown in
figure 2-51, observing the following:
CAUTION
Ensure
that
the
sling
assembly
is
attached in the manner specified In the
following step. Failure to observe this
precaution may cause damage to the
engine and equipment.
a. Attach the safety hooks of the sling assembly
to the fore and aft drilled attaching holes in the mount
stand assembly . (2). Ensure that the FWD side of the
I-beam faces the forward end of the engine.
WARNING
Ensure that the boom of the crane
assembly is completely retracted in the
following step. Failure to observe this
warning may result In serious or fatal
injury to operating personnel, and will
cause
damage
to
the
engine
and
equipment.
b. Slide the horizontal boom (4) of the crane
assembly (5) to the fully retracted position and lock in
place with the locking bolt (6).
c. Unlock the rotation clamp (9) and swing the
boom (4) to a position above the mount stand assembly
(2) and engine test dolly assembly (3).
d. Lower the chain block (7) and hook (8) by
opening the bleed valve (10). Attach the hook to the
lifting eye of the sling assembly (1).
e. Close the bleed valve (10), then crack the
valve slightly. Raise the equipment by operating the
hydraulic hand pump (11) to a height sufficient to clear
all obstructions on the test trailer deck.
f. Swing the equipment around to position the
water brake assembly (12) on the right side of the test
trailer and the dolly axles are directly above the latches
(13).
g. Open the latches (13) and carefully lower the
equipment until the forward and aft dolly axles are fully
engaged in the mating notches in the devises (14).
h. Close the latches (13) and tighten the eyebolt
handles (15).
i. Remove the hook (8) from the sling assembly
(1).
j. Remove the sling assembly (1) and stow in a
convenient area for use after engine test.
k. Connect the four branches of the supply
manifold assembly (16) to the water brake assembly
(12).
I. Connect the supply hose assembly (17) to the
lower end of the supply manifold assembly (16).
Connect the free end of the supply hose assembly to the
coupling half (18) attached to the water supply line on
the test trailer.
m. Connect the return manifold assembly (19) to
the water brake assembly (12), two places.
n. Connect the bottom fitting on the return
manifold assembly'(19) to the coupling half (20)
attached to the water return line on the test trailer.
o. Connect the hose assembly (21) to the cross
(22) and connect the other end of the hose assembly to
the quick-disconnect coupler (23) in the water system
return line on the test trailer.
p. Connect the hose assembly (24) (previously
connected to M1 coupler in the data acquisition
assembly) to the water supply pressure nipple (25) in the
supply manifold assembly (16).
q. Connect plug NO. 1 of cable assembly (26) to
the mating connector on the thermocouple assembly
(27) installed in the water return fitting in the bottom of
the
water
brake
assembly
(12).
