a. Complete loss of electrical power to Primary Flight Displays and Multi-Function Display.
1. Use the Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS).
2. Land as soon as practicable.
b. Pilot PFD has failed or is unreliable.
1. Select REVERT on the PFDCP.
9-34. CRACK IN ANY SIDE WINDOW OR IN WINDSHIELD.
If it has been determined that a crack has developed in any side window or windshield:
1. Altitude -- Maintain 25,000 feet or less.
@ CABIN CONTROLLER -- Reset to pressure differential to maintain 4.0 PSI or less as required.
NOTE
Prior to next light, maintenance actions are required. Refer to the Cracked Cabin Window/Wind-
shield limitations in Chapter 5. While inner-ply cracking is not a structural consideration requiring
replacement, possible glass laking from the damaged area could interfere with pilot vision. Visi-
bility through the windshield maybe signiicantly impaired, windshield wipers could be damaged if
used on cracked surface, and heating elements could be inoperative in the area of the crack.
9-35. DITCHING.
Landing should be made with full laps and landing gear retracted. Refer to Figure 9-3 for Ferry Chair Occupant
Emergency Body Position for ferry chair occupant actions, body positions during ditching, and appropriate duties for
crew and occupants for planned ditching and immediate ditching. Figure 9-4. Wind Swell Ditch Heading Evaluation
shows sea swell information.
Do not un-strap from the seat until all motion stops. The possibility of injury and disorientation
requires that evacuation not be attempted until the aircraft comes to a complete stop.
