performance panel is installed on the vertical tape
indicator assembly (9, figure 1-22).
CAUTION
During
self-check
of
system
Instrumentation, do not attempt adjustment
of any sensitivity adjustment potentiometer
unless specifically Instructed in the text.
Failure to observe this precaution may
change the operating characteristics of the
unit and result In the display of erroneous
readings taken during a test.
A k. Place the FUNCTION control (3, figure 1-22) in
TEST. The TEMPERATURE digital indicator (1) must
display 0150 + 10F indication. After verification of
instrument electrical zero, place the control in RUN.
al. Place the FUNCTION control (6) in TEST. The
TORQUE/PRESSURE digital indicator (4) must display
00000 indication. After verification of 'instrument
electrical zero, position the control to RUN.
NOTE
The following steps must be accomplished with
the appropriate torque system installed and
electrically
connected
to
the
system
instrumentation. The METS electrical systems
must be energized and stabilized prior to torque
system calibration check.

in accordance with the following instructions.
