Attach upper inlet duct and screen (1) as
follows:
NOTE
Two mechanics are required to align
boltholes when attaching inlet duct and
screen.
(1)
Align boltholes in upper inlet duct and
screen (1) with boltholes of base inlet duct and screen
(4). Lower upper inlet duct and screen.
(2)
Install four screws (2) and four nuts (3).
Torque nuts to 160-210 inch-pounds.

Install inner exhaust body (10) and exhaust duct
(11) as follows:
(1)
Place inner exhaust body (10) onto
studs (12).
(2)
Coat four nuts (13) with Antiseize
compound MIL-T-5544 and install them onto studs (12).
Torque nuts to 45-50 inch-pounds.
(3)
Place Marmon clamp (9) loosely onto
aft flange of exhaust frame so that clamp nut is at 12
o'clock position.
(4)
Attach exhaust duct (11) to rear flange
of exhaust frame. Torque nut of Marmon clamp (9) to
80-85 inch-pounds.

figure 2-56). Refer to TM55-2840-248-23.

INSTALLATION OF TEST EQUIPMENT AND
INSTRUMENTS.
NOTE
Certain instrumentation provided with the
T700 METS adapter for T700 engine tests is
permanently installed in the control cab of
test trailer. For a description of the METS
instrumentation, refer to paragraphs 2-7
through 2-8.

Check control cab to verify installation of
instrumentation from the T700 METS adapter. Refer to
paragraph 2-7. 1.

Install lube scavenge thermocouple (6, figure 2-
58) as follows:
(1)
Remove B-sump scavenge screen (1)
and discard preformed packing (2). Store scavenge
screen in a convenient area for installation after engine
test.
(2) Slide preformed packing (3) onto lube
scavenge thermocouple (6).
(3) Place lube scavenge thermocouple (6) into
B-sump accessory gearbox port (8) so that plub (7) is at
the 10 o'clock position.
(4) Torque connector (4) to 140-150 inch-
pounds. Torque nut (5) to 45-50 inch-pounds,
maintaining plug (7) in upward position.
